NINETOFIVE is a multi-instrumental singer-songwriter born and raised in Toronto. Supported by a single mother, he experimented with guitar and piano from a young age, and was heavily influenced by Pop and R&B, developing a dynamic, genre-fluid sound.
Following his debut solo performance in 2012, NINETOFIVE joined Seneca College’s exclusive Independent Songwriting and Performance program in 2016, meeting his vocal coach Paula Griffith, and subsequently, his producer Jovan Jovanov.
His music features rich vocals, heavy-hitting beats, and lyricism focused on his personal struggles and heartaches, releasing 3 singles to-date: I’ll Survive, HYDMLT, and Clocked In. His work has accumulated over 50,000 Spotify streams, and upon release, HYDMLT gained radio play on Toronto’s FLOW93.5 during their “Made in Toronto Takeover”.
He continues to work diligently on his debut EP, using his Vietnamese heritage to connect with and redefine the local music scene, drawing strong inspiration from fellow Toronto artist The Weeknd.
